Restoration Work Record.

Hull
Stripped to bare wood, keel to gunwhale. All seacocks removed. All three waterstops drilled and replaced. Fastenings checked. Keel bolts checked. Doubtful caulking removed and replaced, seams puttied. Rudder sandblasted, derusted, epoxy tarred, painted. Cutlass bearings removed and replaced, A brackets checked. seacocks sandblasted, refitted with new bronze fastenings. Hull primed, undercoated, painted, antifouled to waterline. Anodes fitted between A brackets port and starboard, rudder anodes renewed. Rubbing strake removed and discarded. Splines checked and renewed as required, caulking ditto. All doubtful wood removed and replaced, up to and including washboards and capping. Above waterline primed, undercoated and top coated.
Deck

Stantions and shoes removed, all fittings removed, scuppers and inner washboards stripped to bare wood, all doubtful wood removed and replaced, primed and painted.

Stantions refitted with new fastenings and wires. Capping made good where required. Whale deck mounted pump stripped out and overhauled. Chain plates stripped off and refastened. Forehatch coaming removed complete and rebuilt in Maple. Port coachhouse fore corner stripped out and replaced, capping stripped off and resealed and refastened. Starboard coachhouse fore corner treated and resealed. Bow rollers and chain plates stripped off, cleaned and dipped, new bearing bars fitted, refastened. Winch stripped to body, cleaned, serviced and repainted.

Mainmast
Tabernacle wire brushed, primed and painted. Wheelhouse roof stripped off, with chain plates and mizzen tabernacle. Replaced with 1 1/4 inch Keroin planking finished with Trakmark and Maple central trim. Tabernacle stripped, repainted and refastened. Chain plates stripped, repainted and refastened. Teak deck cleaned, caulked as nessessary, and treated with Decks Olje. Wheelhouse engine vents stripped polished and refitted with new fastenings. Navigation lights stripped, polished and refitted with new fastenings, new wiring and quartz halogen bulbs.
Engine Room

Kelvin engines/gearboxes.

Renovated by Seaward Engineering, Polmont, Glasgow.

Engines and gearboxes stripped nut and bolt to their component parts, all casings sandblasted and painted with specialist inhibitor paints inside and out All components measured and all worn parts replaced.Cylinder heads fully overhauled. New bearings and clutches to gearbox/clutch housings. Injector pumps and injectors calibrated. Starters and dynamos cleaned and inspected, rebrushed and lubricated as nessessary. New gaskets throughout. Exhaust/mixer boxes remade new, exhaust flexes replaced. New link drive belts fitted. All to yacht standard. Engine mountings stripped, checked and refitted.

Two fifty gallon fuel tanks made new from heavy gauge steel with bolted inspection plates, new drain cocks and control valves. New industrial grade clear plastic fuel lines secured to snap connectors. New filter/seperators to fuel supply line. New filler hoses. New cooling water supply lines engine to exhaust mixer boxes. Engine water cocks stripped out, sandblasted and fitted with new fastenings. New flexible couplings to propellor shafts. New propellor shafts made of Admiralty bronze. New cutlass bearings for above. Stuffing boxes stripped, checked, new stuffing. Starboard propellor sandblasted and checked. Port propellor renewed.

Rewired throughout, all wiring tied to deckhead. Nicad batteries fitted to supply 2x12volt capacity with double battery switches. Jabsco deckwash pump stripped, all new seals and bearings, refitted with new fastenings. Viva hydraulic winch pump checked, repainted, refitted. Engine room light fitted aft. Engine control systems stripped, checked, greased and refitted. Deckhead beams refastened.

Wheelhouse
All instruments and wiring stripped out, wheel mechanism housing, bunk and sides dismantled, rotten wood at door step removed. Switchboard removed. Coaming stripped and recovered with leathercloth. Switchboard rebuilt in Maple. Rebuilt and refinished bunk and lockers. Electric control box built from Maple. Pinta Auto pilot serviced and rebuilt. Radar fitted. Seavoice crystal radio checked and serviced, replaced. Sestral brass compass stripped, refilled and fitted with new card, light rewired. Wheel mechanism stripped, checked and serviced, housing rebuilt and new temperature gauges fitted. Engine control mechs. stripped, serviced and refitted. New wiring throughout. Instrument lighting, wheelhouse night (red) and standard (fluorescent) fitted. Charge control cutouts, 1 serviced, 1 renewed. New ammeters fitted. New switches fitted. Two battery switches fitted to control domestic and starting circuits. Brass venting fited to rear double wall.
Sails Systems
Masts dismantled, bottlescrews and chainplates stripped off and renovated. New stainless rigging wire fitted, 4mm. to mizzen, 6mm. to mainmast. Masts stripped, iron work and steel brushed and mast wood sanded and varnished/painted, fastenings and pins checked. Spars as foregoing. Radar dome, ships horn (renovated), fitted to mizzen on custom bracket in stainless steel. Electrically controlled spot light/deck light fitted to mizzen. New mainsail, mizzen, jib made in 10 oz. tan cloth. New white sail covers. New ropework throughout. New pulleys as required. Radar reflector overhauled and remounted on mainmast. New steaming light mounted on mainmast, rewired. New stern light fitted to rear of wheelhouse, rewired. New radio aerial fitted to mizzen mast.
